Based in Taranna on the iconic Tasman peninsula approximately 80 to 88 kilometres southeast of Hobart. The drive takes roughly 1 hour to 1 hour and 15 minutes by car via the Arthur Highway. Open daily from 9am.
Unzoo General Entry
Explore the Unzoo’s natural bushland habitats, join daily talks, spot wild rosellas & honeyeaters, and come face to face with Tasmanian devils at our daily feeding sessions. Nearly 100 bird species have been spotted on land and from our viewing platform.
The surrounding native gardens wind through the grounds too – properly labelled, worth taking slowly.

Devil Tracker Eco-Tour & Unzoo
Join an expert guide in our behind the scenes guided tour and head into the forest to learn more about wild Tasmanian devils — the same small group we’ve been monitoring and protecting from disease on the Tasman Peninsula. Using high-tech cameras and tracking equipment, you’ll see exactly how conservation science works in the field.
This isn’t a show. These are genuinely wild animals, and finding them isn’t guaranteed, which is exactly the point!
