Devil Tracker Eco-Tour & Unzoo
This is wildlife on its own terms.
At the Unzoo, we didn't build a place to look at animals. We took the fences down and let them come to us.
The Devil Tracker Adventure takes that idea one step further: instead of watching from a boardwalk, you have the chance to head out into the forest itself, into country where wild devils still roam free and healthy - exactly as they should.
Your guide will take you by 4WD into native bushland near the Unzoo, out to one of our hidden infrared camera sites on the isolated Tasman Peninsula - one of the last pockets on Earth where wild devils remain untouched by disease.
From there, it's on to the Devil Tracker Station, where you'll help pull the latest footage, spot and identify individual devils, and add to the nightly log of who's been moving through the bush.
Along the way you'll pick up a tracker's eye for the landscape, reading wildlife highways, spotting signs of nocturnal activity, and seeing first hand how bushland and farmland sit side by side.
